This policy defines a faculty research incentive program for salary recaptured from grants and contracts.
POLICY:
A dedication to research and scholarly activity is essential for ICOM to fulfill its mission of academic excellence in the health professions education. Congruent with its mission, ICOM is dedicated to the development of a robust culture of research and dissemination of new knowledge in the biomedical sciences, clinical, osteopathic, public health, and medical education research.
To incentivize faculty to pursue extramural funding which provides for the development of research and scholarly activity, ICOM has enacted the following policy providing for an incentive bonus on salaries recaptured by ICOM from grants and contracts. This policy only applies to grants and contracts for scholarly activity or research and does not apply to gifts or service projects.
