PURPOSE / SCOPE:
To ensure a fair and equitable environment by providing the conduit through which the rights of students, employees, and credentialed faculty are protected.
DEFINITIONS:
ICOM defines due process as a principle that dictates fairness in procedures and legal matters with the rights and treatment of those involved kept equal and free from prejudice.
POLICY:
ICOM provides students, employees, and credentialed staff with due process in accordance with applicable law, stated policies, and procedures to safeguard rights and prevent prejudice. Due process is further described within certain policies and procedures and includes steps to address disciplinary sanctions, such as suspension or dismissal, that are designed to produce fair and reasonable judgments.
